Venice - Day 2

Gården inde i Doge paladset/The courtyard in the Doge's Palace

The second day we had planned to go and see the Biennale which is a rather large art exhibition held in Venice every other year. Most countries in the world have their own pavilions at the Biennale which means that artist from all over the world participate. The Biennale will get its own post later since it wasn't the only thing we did that day.
First stop was the Doge's Palace. We also wanted to see the Saint Mark's Church on the way but the queue was so long that we decided to see it another day. In the Palace we saw the old staterooms, the Doge's private rooms, the prison which Casanova escaped from and the inside of the Bridge of Sighs.
